Love & Joy as Our Natural State with Samantha Bove
A personal reflection on embodied love, feminine magic, and the courage to feel everything
I've been experiencing something lately that I can only describe as love from the inside out. Not romantic love - though that's part of it - but this full-body, electric, almost overwhelming sense that love is moving through me in ways I've never experienced.
And then I sat down with Reiki Master Samantha Bove, and suddenly everything made sense.
The Permission I Didn't Know I Needed
There I was, trying to contain this energy during a business meeting, pressing my hands together under the table because some part of me thought, "This isn't the time to feel this." But Samantha said something that changed everything:
"What would the world look like if you, in that meeting, were like, 'I'm just feeling so much love on this call right now'? Let's be the walking permission slips for people to talk about what good is going on in their lives."
Walking permission slips.
I realized I've been waiting for permission to feel the full magnitude of what's moving through me. Permission to be joyful during business meetings. Permission to let my body lead my decisions. Permission to trust that this love isn't too much - it's exactly what I came here to embody.
When Your Inner Child Meets Your Inner Woman
During these interactions, something in me started recognizing the different parts of myself. Lately, when I meet certain people - especially one particular person who shall remain nameless but has been quite the catalyst - I can actually distinguish between my inner child wanting to play and be, and my woman creating, holding space, and connecting.
"I let my inner child play in the ocean and swim with the waves," I told Samantha, and she got it immediately. There's this beautiful dance happening where I'm honoring both the playful, curious part of me AND the powerful, grounded woman I'm becoming.
This feels connected to what Samantha teaches about developing both masculine and feminine energies. I've spent years learning to protect and provide for myself (hello, masculine energy), but now I'm remembering how to be the vessel, the bridge between worlds (feminine energy). And instead of choosing one, I'm integrating both.
The Spaces That Hold Our Becoming
What fascinates me about Samantha's work is how she creates what she calls "agenda-free environments" - spaces where women can remember their power without having to perform or prove anything. This is exactly what I'm trying to create through Space Whispering.
Your environment either supports who you're becoming or keeps you stuck in who you've been.
When I create spaces for clients, I'm really asking: What is this space whispering?” "You belong here, exactly as you are"? Does it give you permission to feel your full range of emotions? Does it reflect back your magic instead of hiding it?
Love as Natural State
Here's what Samantha helped me remember: "A kid is happy for no reason. Joy is our natural state."
I've been feeling this incredible aliveness in my body lately - what I can only describe as embodied joy - and part of me kept questioning it. Like, shouldn't I need a reason to feel this good? Shouldn't I wait until I've "achieved" something to let myself feel this magical?
But what if the magic isn't the reward? What if it's the starting point?
What if the love coursing through my body right now isn't something to contain or justify, but something to celebrate and share?
The Rebellion of Feeling Good
There's something revolutionary about a woman who refuses to dim her light. About someone who shows up fully in every room - boardroom or bedroom, client call or coffee with friends.
Samantha embodies this completely. She said, "I want to be who I am in every single room I walk in, whether it's with my lover or my mother or a client. I don't care because I care so much to just be myself and love."
This is my practice now. Not compartmentalizing myself. Not having a "professional" version and a "personal" version. Just showing up as Rhaynelina - the woman who believes spaces are sacred, who gets giddy talking about design and spirituality, who sometimes feels so much love during business meetings that she has to press her hands together to contain it.
Your Space, Your Sacred Container
If Samantha's story resonates with you, I want you to look around your space right now and ask: Does this environment permit me to feel everything? Does it support my full expression? Does it whisper "You belong here, exactly as you are"?
Because here's what I know: when we create sacred containers in our physical spaces, we give ourselves permission to become sacred containers for love, for joy, for magic.
Your space is always listening. What are you ready to hear?
