PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Abetay is an architectural proposal conceived with profound respect for the land and the cultural heritage that defines us. Located in the mountains of El Limón, Samaná, this project arises as a critical response to traditional forms of development, which often devastate nature instead of engaging in dialogue with it.

Inspired by Abetay, the Taíno deity of nature, and the organic and migratory forms of the humpback whale, Abetay proposes an architecture that flows with the terrain without imposing itself upon it. The curves of the land, the native vegetation, and the ocean views are not obstacles, but rather guides for a sensitive, conscious, and deeply rooted design.
